1. When can I expect to receive my item?
Clothes, gloves and bags will be sent out as soon as the postage payment has been received, these are already in stock.
Homeware, gifts, cards, prints and jewellery will be sent out straight away, if they’re in stock. If they’re not, then expect up to 21 days for them, as the item will have to be made and shipped, and as they’re
all handmade this takes some time. If you would like to check whether an item

2. Why must gift and jewellery orders be placed by Halloween if I want them for
Christmas?
All orders must be received by Halloween to allow the craftspeople who supply Megaera’s Realm enough time to make them and ship them out, before they get too busy making their own stock for local fetes or festivals.
Postage
1. How are items sent?
Items are sent first class standard postage. Or airmail, if required. If you want insurance, or recorded delivery or anything else, then please let me know when you order it.
2. Why is postage worked out after my order has been placed?
Postage is worked out at cost. There is no set rate for what you order, because you are charged what it will actually cost to send the items and that can’t be worked out until after you’ve placed your order. You will be sent a paypal form, once the total of postage has been worked out, and will have 14 days to pay it to receive your item. If you do not pay you will be refunded the money, unless you ordered a custom mug, or custom letters on a standard mug. Then you will not be refunded.
3.Why isn’t there a set postage rate?
There isn’t a set postage rate because people tend to order a combination of items, which can’t be sent together (such as homeware and an item of clothing.) It would be impossible to work out a standard postage rate for all the combinations, especially when any out of stock item is sent direct from the supplier. So we work postage cost out on the basis of each order. This also makes it cheaper for you as you’re charged what it costs, not a set rate.
Returns
1. What is your returns policy?
We accept returns on clothes, jewellery, and houseware, excluding custom designed mugs. Items must be returned within 14 days in perfect condition. If an item arrives broken then please provide picture evidence, where possible, and you will be refunded for it. Postage cost is not refunded unless the item is broken, in which case I should be able to claim it back from the postoffice.
General
2. Why the name Megaera?
Megaera is the name of a Greek Fury, one of three ‘dog-faced’ women of mythology who chase murderers of blood relatives, and drive them insane. The most famous person of mythology that they chased was Orestes, son of Agememnon, who was killed by his wife Clytemnestra.
It is also the name of my first cat, who was named after the fury. And as she’s a black, goth cat, I thought it fitted the name of the business.
3. Are you looking for models?
No. We are discontinuing our line of clothes so we have no use for models.

How do I know whether an item will fit me properly?
The Sinister Rough Sizing Chart will help you, nb. These sizes are only rough estimate, some items do vary.
